How To Re-Energize In Less Than 1 Minute

People come to me and say ‘Chris, I need more energy. What can I do?’ There’s many great tools to refill your energy tanks but today I will show you the fastest. It takes less than one minute and can be performed anytime and anywhere, without anybody recognizing it. It‘s so simple that you will not believe me at first – I know this because I didn‘t believe it myself. More than 4 years and thousands of sessions later, I can tell you that it changed my life. And I promise it will change yours, too.
Scientists call it ‘ratio breathing’… but I just call it the ‘Magic Minute‘. It‘s an age-old and science-based breathing technique and it goes like this:
1. Inhale for a count of 4 through your nose and then
2. Exhale for a count of 8 through your mouth
3. Repeat this for 6-10 times
If exhaling until 8 feels too long, you can switch to a ratio of 3/6. Experiment what feels best for you; important is that you always exhale twice as long as you inhale (that‘s why ratio breathing). The cool thing is: you can do it anywhere: at your desk, in a meeting, in a traffic jam, in line at airport…

Try it out now! Like with every habit – it‘s key to set a trigger and start small. Set one daily alarm into your iphone and call it ‘Magic Minute’. After 1 week increase it gradually to 3-5 times. Use your „free time“ like airport queues, traffic jams etc. that you would otherwise waste browsing on your iphone. Over time you will become a master and enjoy 1 ‘Magic Minute’ every hour.
